A place that has long been thought to become a tourist destination for people who love culinary and travel. Gjepali Agrotourism is the legacy of a long history of 6 generations, where the love for the land and food has been cultivated and inherited. Our family has always been connected to the land. My forefathers have treated it with love by working it and getting the best out of it. They have considered it as wealth that produces only good things.
The 1940s marked the peak of production, when even the grandfather Elez Gjepali, owned considerable territorial space. He had a wide space with fruit trees, the farm was also rich with animals, such as cows, sheep, bufaloes and various birds.
Can you imagine? It was one of the largest and most famous farms in Central Albania. Then, due to the course that the country took and the way of government, those lands were no longer ours and the farm was disbanded. After the 90s, the family, my father and then I, have always had the desire to somehow rebuild the “paradise” we once had. It was the father who quietly, years ago, started slowly by planting trees, building the stable for raising animals and planting various agricultural crops. Three years ago I decided to bring back that giant farm, for all friends who want to spenda different day, and enjoy one of the best food in the country. Together with my family, we worked intensively for the construction of Agrotourism Gjepali.
The experience and knowledge I have gained abroad, I can now combine with the tradition in the land of my ancestors. Already with a long experience as a chef in Rome (Antico Arco) and honored with dozens of awards around the world, I have the pleasure of managing Gjepali Agrotourism. In 2018 we were certified as Agrotourism and we are among 14 in the history of Agrotourism Albania.
In a few months, this place has turned into a rural tourism destination. We are waiting for you to try the unique taste that comes from Albania.
